World Central Kitchen – Response Corps/Community Outreach Lead (Contract)         January 2026 – Present

• Mobilized within four hours of activation and identified potential ground partners while en route,
  enabling meal distribution to begin as quickly as possible.

• Recruited and trained local volunteers and developed distribution strategies to deliver hot meals to
  affected communities efficiently.

• Continuously assessed community needs and carried out WCK's phases of response based on established
  indicators, including discussing when to close out an activation with the Community Outreach Manager.

• Drafted press releases, media advisories and opinion pieces to enhance media coverage.

• Documented events through photography, video and interviews to generate content.

• Provided communication and visibility support for flagship events, including live coverage and post-event

Beneath the Surface Investigation

• Participated in a six-week research project for the Invisible Institute’s long-term investigation into gender-based violence and the Chicago Police Department

• Joined weekly meetings to read case files and provide emotional support when reading difficult files

• Read 200+ case files, tagging the documents that showed evidence of gender-based discrimination

• Developed collaborative skills by sharing ideas and feedback in the calls and assisting fellow volunteers
